Welcome!
I am Ivo Ketelaar.
I work as an independent photographer based in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.
Most of the time I work on specific projects and concepts or creating new ones.
Sometimes I do assignments.
My main subjects are autism, infrastructure, animals and landscapes.
How Autism Looks
My current project is an autism project, How Autism Looks.
With this exhibition, photographer Ivo Ketelaar wants to show
how an autistic person looks at everyday reality and which emotions images can evoke in an autistic person.
This is done by means of photographic images and short texts that accompany the images.
The combination will give non-autistic people an idea how someone
with autism can perceive that particular image.
This project is about showing the experiences and emotions of autistic people.
Emotions that autistic people supposedly do not have. In reality, these emotions do exist,
but often they are invisible to the outside world.
I show them in this project called How Autism Looks.
The photo exposition is now in English!
For this project I developed a photo exposition, lectures and workshops.
This unique project now travels through cities in The Netherlands and Belgium and beyond.
The book is now published!
Find out all you want to know about this really unique book!
The book is yet only in Dutch, but the enlgish version is being prepared!
